Iran Still Reviewing Proposed Agreement With US, Decision Pending
"Iran has not yet announced its final decision on the proposed memorandum of understanding,” the source said.
"The review of the political, legal, and technical dimensions of the proposals is still ongoing," he added.
According to reports, the proposed agreement continues to be examined by both technical experts and senior decision-makers as authorities assess its various components.
The developments come after US President Donald Trump stated on Saturday through his Truth Social platform that an agreement with Iran was expected to be signed on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose government has been helping facilitate talks between Washington and Tehran, said the deal could be completed within the next 24 hours.
Iranian officials, however, indicated that no signing would take place on Sunday, while leaving open the possibility that the agreement could be finalized in the coming days.
