Iran Warns Gulf Over Netanyahu UAE Visit, Cites Threat
Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned the trip, saying it came at a “sensitive time” as Israel carries out attacks on Iran and, in the ministry's words, genocide in Palestine and Lebanon.
The ministry said Israel's regional footprint was creating a “dangerous situation.” It urged neighboring countries to stay alert to threats against collective peace and security, and called on them not to let their territory be used for actions that could undermine regional stability.
Israeli media reported earlier that Netanyahu presided over an expanded meeting during his Sept. 27 visit to the UAE, attended by representatives from several countries. Citing an unnamed Emirati source, the reports said delegates from the US, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Kuwait, Bahrain, Libya, Oman and Egypt sat down with officials from Israel and the UAE.
